Hey everyone, I am seriously at a loss in what to do here, and need advice or reassurance I’m doing the right thing here. My husband and I are considering putting up our 6-7 month old cat for adoption.
Some pertinent background, I work in EMS. This means I work 12+ hours day at least. My husband is a stay at home disabled vet considering part time work. We have another cat as well 2-3 years old who is extremely well behaved, and honestly perfect. The cats do get along, and the big one misses her when she’s gone.
Wren absolutely loves me. Prefers me for snuggles and constantly demands my attention. She listens when I reprimand her, and generally is pretty well behaved even with me. Ever since we got her though, she’s slowly become more and more aggressive to my husband. I honestly have no idea why. He’s very gentle and sweet with her. Gives her a lot of attention and looks after her EVERY need.
It’s gotten to the point where I will leave her in a kennel while I go to work, and my husband checks her food and her water and lets her out for pets and bathroom breaks. Thing is, they can barely get through those small moments of being together with out her screaming bloody murder at him, trying to scratch and hit him, and the hissing is almost non stop when she sees him.
I am at my absolute wits end with this cat, but I absolutely love her. Please help me save my cat, and my husband from the crazy
