Honestly I'm quite conflicted with this. Our dog is almost 17 years old, has a cloudy eye, and is mostly deaf. She still gets around and can be quite playful but does have some arthritis in her legs and can no longer jump onto furniture. She also will occasionally urinate or defecate overnight inside the house. She now barks constantly when my mother leaves the house and will often bark at night waking my mother up.
She has been this way for about 2 years and has been a burden, effectively interrupting my mother's life for this time, stopping her from going for holidays and visiting friends. I feel like there isn't enough of a case to euthanize because of low quality of life but there is a case for it because the burden she is causing. I live in a different country so I am unable to care for her.
Would appreciate anyones thoughts.
