Hello my fellow Cat owners, I'm lost on what to do right now. First some background on my situation: About two weeks ago I took two cats in. It was a sudden affair and I had some Adoption Regret afterwards, but I managed. Both are doing well and are absolute sweethearts, even though Kitty had some food management troubles, but we dealt with that. Now, I'm not mentally all that great and have dealt with depression for many years now. I got a few anxiety attacks after getting the two and had more depressive episodes since then. So I took my time to look more closely at the situation at hand and consulted with my doctor about it, who promptly went on her way and signed me up for a stationary therapy, that can range from taking two weeks to up to six. Time that I won't be at home. So, now my problem is that I have my cats here that don't know me well enough as it is and I'll be leaving in a bit for weeks on end. While my siblings all agreed to help me out and to look after them, I don't know if that's the right decision to make. I've talked to the local cat rescue center and they can't seem to find a good answer either. They only tell me, that they shouldn't be kept alone for so long, but also that relocating them again would be way too stressful for them. I'm at a loss about what is logically the right decision to make here. Could you help a fellow cat parent out?
