How can I tell if my dog is depressed?

I’ve had my girl (cavachone Maltese mix) for 8 years now. I got her in high school and had a good few years of living with her daily, playing with her and taking her on walks and such. When I went to college she stayed at my parents house and spent most of the time with my recently retired father. In my last year of college some family changes took place and me, my mother and dog moved into my grandmothers apartment. I work now and am out for a large amount of the day. My mother works a hectic schedule and is similarly out for most of the day. My grandmother gives the dog a lot of love but cannot do things like walk her and chase her around or play fetch with her.( she still gets 3 walks a day from me my mother and a dog walker we hired when we can’t walk her in the afternoons) I’m ashamed to admit it but after work I’m usually incredibly tired. I spend a bit of time playing with her but often all I want to do when getting home is play an hour of video games or shower before going to sleep. I’ve notice my dog will often stare at me when we’re in the same room in what looks like a sort of pleading way. She’ll also come into my room and stare at me for a few minutes before leaving. I don’t play with her nearly as much as I used to and I’m worried she’s depressed. Is there any signs I should be looking out for? And if she is what can I do about it. Are there dog psychologists? The pleading look is also how she’s always kind of looked at me and I talked to others about it although they always say she’s just staring normally. But I’m not sure if the people I’ve talked to really understand her moods. It breaks my heart to think about her being depressed but I simply don’t know if I can spend enough time with her to keep her happy. What can I do?
