Question on kitten health

Hi,

My spouse and I are getting a kitten from a breeder. We were supposed to pick her up last week but the breeder told us that she had diarrhea the night before we were picking her up.

On speaking to more experienced pet owners, we learned that diarrhea is not very common in kittens and could be a sign of a serious illness. Despite following up with the breeder about the kitten's health and on getting a diagnosis from the vet, we didn't get any further information from them other than that she was recovering.

Today when I followed up again to ask what exactly she was recovering from they said mild flu but no further information. When we Googled this we saw that cat flu is actually pretty serious and can have an impact on a cat's long-term well being.

Should we be worried? What other information should we be asking for?
