I don't know if this is the correct sub, but; 2 days ago i let my cat inside and i noticed she wasn't using her rear right leg, i noticed some blood and i was worried it might have been broken or something so i took her to the vet. The vet pointed out that there was a lead bb pellet in her leg, right below the (knee?) joint. This kind of freaked me out because this obviously meant my cat had been shot. The vet examined it a bit more and came to the conclusion that it was probably best to just let the bb pellet stay inside and just let it heal, so basically do nothing. So the vet treated the wound and let us go home. But the bb is made out of lead, so the thing that i am worried about is lead poisoning. Did the vet forget about this? Is my cat in danger? What do i do?
