Advice required :Surgery or let my cat go?

Hello, long time lurker, but since I am absolutely unable to take a decision myself this time, i figured I'd ask for redditors insight and help me decide.

I am the owner of a 5+ yo cat with a very weak immune system (first pet, but if I am not mistaken, that is quite young). 2ish years ago, one of her lymph nodes got infected, no medecine could cure it, so after a scanner, my vets were confidents they could perform surgery in order to get rid of it, which they did. Unfortunately, 6 month after, the same scenario occured, and we did the same.

To keep things short, because of that recurring problem, we had to perform surgery 6 times to remove each time an infected node. Each time, it is getting worse, and my cat is now absolutely scared to go to the vet (and gets very agressive inside the clinic, which makes me believe each time we bring her there, she goes through hell).

Last week, my cat stopped feeding; an echography and scanner revealed the same problem, unsurprisingly, in her abdomen. I'm supposed to decide if I want to perform surgery again or let her go this week-end, as there is an emergency.

I have absolutely no idea. Last time, when I decided to save her, I had the feeling it was quite selfish (I do not want to lose my cat obviously), but I have no idea if my cat wants to endure that over and over again. At this rate, I feel that every 5ish month, I will have to bring her to the vet for another surgery, again.

To make things clear, money is not clouding my judgement, as I have an insurance for that which helps me alot. I am just extremely concerned by the well being of my cat. My veterinary seems conflicted on the idea, as she did not give me a clear answer this time.

So: what would you do, or if something similar occured to you, what did you do? Would you let your pet go and stop this cycle of suffering, or would you keep asking for surgery (buying 4ish month of good time before things go downhill again)?

I apologise for my english and this gloomy post, thanks in advance.
