I'm sorry if this isn't the appropriate sub for this but I wanted to get an opinion from other pet lovers. 1.5 years ago me and my ex broke up. We had been dating for close to 10 years and got two puppies about a year into that relationship. We both loved those dogs like kids and had no issue with sharing them afterwards. My mom will pick up the dogs and they stay with her for 3 nights a week. Once a week I'll go to my mom's for dinner and visit with the dogs. I have had zero communication with my ex. Everything has been strictly between she and my mom for the past 18 months. I have a girlfriend now that I love very much. We have been together for almost 8 months now and she has given me an ultimatum that either my mom and I never see the dogs again or she is gone. I have explained that I have no thoughts, feelings, communication with my ex what so ever. I only see the dogs as being my beloved pets not a link to a past life. If anyone has some feedback or thoughts it would be much appreciated. Sorry for getting deep on a pets sub.
