I’m going home for Christmas vacation and have to take Amtrak back because of road closure.
I’m taking my ESA (cat) back home. (no I ESAs do not have the same protections and rights as service animals. They do not have rights outside the home, you can not mark them as service animals they will laugh in my face and turn me away, Mom)
The Amtrak website just sends you in circles.
-Yes but you need a pet reservation,
-Ok search pet reservation on the website.
-Is sent back to the original page.
(I’m just going to call for a reservation)
Amtrack: pet reservations is $25 Also Amtrack: pet reservations is $26
Amtrak: you can bring pets on all lines but one Also Amtrak: you can only bring pets on this list of lines
Amtrak: Crates must be under the seats Also Amtrak: there is no under the seats.
So has any one had any experience bringing pets on Amtrak?
