So I’ve been wanting a pet for some time now but I currently live with my parents who have made it clear they definitely don’t want any. I stay in a decent sized room in the basement which leads to the backyard. I’ve always wanted a cat but I don’t think it would enjoy staying in one room all day. Do you guys think it would work if I let the cat outdoors and gave it access to my room whenever it wanted? Would also appreciate some suggestions for pets to keep in my situation.
