3 year old cats fighting constantly

I’ve had two beautiful indoor only cats (M + F) since they were about 6 months old (3.5 now). They are litter mates but have always gotten along. They have been indoor for about 2 years and due to a neighbor who has threatened them letting them outside isn’t an option.

In the past 6 months they have started fighting all the time, multiple times a day as well as multiple times through the night.

We now lock one of them in the bedroom with us instead of letting them wander in and out through the night as the fighting was waking us, but they still fight through the day and any nights they aren’t separated.

I don’t have any areas of the house where I could lock either to give them a break from each other longer than a few hours - is there anything else that can help?

Having one stay with friends isn’t an option and giving one away is also definitely not something I’m prepared to do (how would I even choose?!)

I’m at my wits end and I feel awful for keeping them in the same house when they seem to not get along at all lately, I’m hoping someone knows how to help!!
