Cat wants to play all the time and has now learned how to threaten me (need advice)

I have two cats, currently (1yr) and (8mos), and they're great. They used to belong to a coworker, but they were moving, so I adopted them two months ago. They're very affectionate, cute etc etc, but the younger of them wants to play constantly, to the point of crying/whining nonstop when I'm not playing with her. I'm a single guy who works full time so is out of the house at least 9 hours a day, and as soon as I come home she wants to play. They have a good handful of toys, but she specifically loves a wand with feathers attached to a rope that I wave around. So every day I use that and play with her, usually to the point where she begins to pant. When I stop for any longer that 5 minutes, she begins to cry for a long time, wandering around while doing so. Now, I have a few tapestries hanging on the walls of my room, which she has torn down before. So eventually she'll wander over to one of my tapestries, sit down next to it, and stare at me. After a minute or two, she'll stand up and put her front two paws on the tapestry, then turn around and look at me again. When I see this, I pop up, which makes her dart down and sit next to her toy. I appreciate her being direct with what she wants, but I'm worried about the extortion. I don't want to reward this negative behavior, but she does not stop unless I play with her. Should I just play with her nonstop? Any advice is appreciated, thank you.
