Is it ok that I've been bathing my dogs weekly or bi weekly?

My dogs are pretty active. I have a chow chow and an Australian Shepherd. They go on hikes and to the dog park often. Atleast 2-3 times a week along with our normal daily walks around town. The trails and park are muddy and they love to swim in the lake as well. My dogs tend to start smelling at one week but sometimes I'll stretch it to two for the sake of their coats and use dog cologne, but that just masks the odor and doesn't get rid of it. I use a high quality shampoo and conditioner like Chi, Furminator, or Burt's bees. Their coats are super soft! But I was told their too active and if their getting too dirty too fast then I need to cut down on playtime. My dogs live in an apartment and are high energy so I don't know what else to do. They'd be miserable if I didn't take them on adventures! What do you guys think? Am I going to ruin their coats? Forgot to add that I do feed salmon oil, or coconut oil every night as a supplement. I don't know if that changes anything about the answer, but they love it and it helps keep their coats soft .
