So I was kicking the ball with my dog yesterday and I followed through on one kick and my dog literally sprinted into my foot pretty hard (she got hurt too, but she's completely ok like a second later), but the collision was pretty bad on my end. It hurt a lot, but I didn't think much of it until today (roughly 24 hours later). When I started to shower, I saw that there were 2 puncture marks and big bruising around one of them and my foot was a bit swollen around impact area. The bruising I can understand since there was pretty heavy contact, but I'm mainly worried about tetanus.
It's been a bit over 10 years since I last got my tetanus shot (was due for booster last August but didn't go due to covid). My dog got her rabies vaccine last summer as well (around July), and generally isn't aggressive she's the nicest thing ever. I'll be going to the hospital tomorrow morning (36 hours after impact). Is that too late? Is getting a tetanus booster 36 hours later too late for me?
