Help, cat's not doing so good after constipation.

First post because I need help with my cat. He was constipated the whole day, but he finally did 1, 2, and surprisingly 3 (vomit). He still isn't acting like he's not in pain, but he's not as vocal as he was earlier. He won't move and I don't want to force him to walk up the stairs to test if he's limping still. He's drinking water, and he's asleep right now, but he's still breathing pretty fast and still curled, and he's not moving around a lot either. During the constipation period he was screaming and growling, and constantly grooming his butt. He wasn't ever aggressive towards us thankfully. Should I still get my parents to take him to the vet? Thank you in advance.

QnA maybe?: We didn't take him to a vet, it just started and it's seemingly passed in the same day.

We're hesitant about the vet because we're barely getting by due to the pandemic getting my dad furloughed. That's why I've been asking around.

He's 3yrs old and neutered, was vaccinated before we adopted him.

He's never been to a vet because he's never had anything this serious until obviously now.

He also seemingly had a fever according to my mom, and a little leakage when he would scream, growl, and cry.

He didn't want to eat or drink anything when he was constipated, he's drinking water now as previously stated, but he's not going to his food bowl. (I took the water to him because I knew his legs were weak still.)

EDIT: Strictly an indoors cat too, couldn't have gotten anything from the outside.
