Hello everyone! So just a little background: i used to have 7 cats at one point, but I currently just have three. Besides them, I do feed stray cats, (just two at the moment) since I feed my cats outside, other cats have gotten in the habit of also coming over to eat. I live in a duplex house, therefore my grandparents, aunt and uncle live in the front and those who rent the house in the back also share a property with us. My family and i are the only ones who own cats and it’s been a little tough sharing a property with other people who don’t necessarily love cats as much as you. In the past, there has been issues with the renter complaining about our cats and demanding that we get rid of them but we never listened since he’s simply a renter and my grandpa (who owns the houses) doesn’t get bothered much about our cats compared to the renter. Anyways, i recently started college in Chico, therefore I am only home during the breaks which has been tough since I’m not around my cats and am not really on the same page about what’s been going on. Since I’ve been gone there has been a death of one of our stray cats and four of our cats have gone missing. The first two left together and they were fairly new (also they were strays who we welcomed inside our home). But the other two have been with us for quite a bit and their mother (who is still around) actually gave birth to them in our property (she is now fixed). I have been so heartbroken for the loss of my cats. I’ve had this experience before and I tend to not think bad thoughts but just the amount of cats we’ve lost in the past five months scares me. One cat, has been gone for probably three weeks while another cat has been gone for four days. We are concerned and confused on why those two cats would leave us, since we were so close to them and they always came in our house. My parents are worried that the renter has something to do with our cats’ disappearance since he’s mentioned wanting to get rid of our stray cats. At this point i don’t know what to think or feel and I’m seriously heartbroken. I’ve thought long and hard about this situation and it’s weird to think that my most two loyal cats have left us. I hope they’re okay, wherever they are.
