I have recently adopted a 'big' cat hes super nice and cuddly but the only issue is that he always and anytime ready and super eager for food.
He is always hungry no matter the amount of food he has already eaten looking for food smelling the air and searching for leftovers.
He climbs up countertop and raids my kitchen frequently when I am not around.
He gets into the fridge every time I open it and refuses to come out till hes offered some food.
I primarily feed him dry pet food made for overweight cats and occasionally cooked/boiled chicken.
He somehow goes gaga when he smells curd or pickles and literally climbs on people and stuff until he gets some.
I have tried the Double sided tape method and he just learns their location and avoids them the next time he climbs on things. He gulps down food super fast without chewing which I guess might be the reason hes a bit chonky.
When denied food he slams on the door and makes weird noises.
Even tried the water spray thing out of frustration but after a day or two he just hides his face and stays at the same place.
He eats bugs and is super persistent.
I really don't want to give him back any help or advice is appreciated.
