My 9 year lab broke into my room while I was gone and ate 36 pieces of Orbit White Spearmint Gum that was completed packaged. I came home after an hour and found him seizing and in shock outside. within 30 minutes he was at the Vet and has his blood sugar levels returning to normal, is walking, barking, eating. However, he still is at risk of liver failure which happens within 12-48. The vet is closely monitoring him and they are in contact with Poison Control. It is currently approaching the 24 hour mark. Does anyone know how much xylitol is in each piece of Orbit White Spearmint Gum or have any experiences like this?
