Ive had a small turtle when i was a kid and i remember having it in a small plastic laggoon with an island. However, it died after a week, and im not sure if the enclosure itself was the cause of this, because all the pet turtles i see online all have a giant tank. I now want to get a baby red eared slider, but this time to actually take good care of it untill it becomes big, thing is, i really like the aspect of the little lagoon with its island and it dosent take too much space either, but i wanted to know if those are actually not good for the turtles? like if theyre only designed so the turtle wont live long? what should i do?
