So I recently adopted an 8 week old baby kitten. I love him so much and he’s become a beloved addition to my family in the past 2 weeks he’s lived with us.
I want to keep him healthy and happy, however I do not plan on neutering him.
I have caught a lot of angry and downright rude comments and messages when I’ve discussed this previously.
However my main reason is because I want to breed him. He’s a beautiful York Chocolate and I got him for free, so I think it would be cool in another 2-3 years to get him a mate so they can have a few litters in a humane way of course.
So with that being said, I’ve heard all the horror stories of what a male cat becomes if he’s not neutered. However, I haven’t found anyone or instructions on how to control an intact cat.
So those who haven’t neutered their male cats or have experience training cats, how do I control him when he’s reached sexual maturity. What are some techniques I can use to make sure he doesn’t become immediately hostile or spray around my house? Any advice you can give would be beyond appreciated.
Also, if you are going to make a rude comment about my choice or not give any helpful advice, just don’t comment because you’re not helping.
Otherwise thanks :)!
