Serious question. My cat was adopted from the humane society, he had been an outdoor cat his whole life before we got him. He uses the doggy door to go in and out, but he stays in the yard. To me, that's all fine and well. What ISN'T fine and well is he keeps bringing dead animals in or around the house. It's not just birds. I've found 2 baby bats, today was a frog, and mice. If we keep him locked in the house, he will piss all over everything. I mean EVERYTHING. He's a good cat, I love him, but I'm seriously wondering if I need to get him declawed. I know it's inhumane, but I don't want to get rid of him, and there's no "retraining" the bad behaviors out of a cat. He's a neutered, yearish old male. He is the most loving, docile cat I've ever had. Getting rid of him isn't an option. My kids are attached and so am I. But I'm pregnant, I don't want to deal with this... Not to mention I'm highly bothered by the damage he's doing to the wildlife around here, especially the bats.
