I've had my cat since he was a kitten. He's 3 years old and this has never been an issue. My dog bed was getting old, so I went and got a new one. At week later my cat peed on it, he's never peed outside the litter box before. I sprayed it with an odor remover, and then washed the inside and outside. The next day he did the same thing. I repeated the spray and wash and then sprayed it again with odor remover. Since then, I've either kept closed in the 2nd bedroom or out in the living room with me (normally it's kept in the bedroom). Today I left it Left it in the bedroom, and Just went in there to grab something and saw he peed on it once again.
Does anyone had advice on how to stop this? I threw away that bed because the inner lining can't go through the washing machine again, it started to break after the 2nd wash.
I want to get my dog another bed, and we'll get one with a waterproof liner but still don't want the cat peeing on it all the time.
