Would it be humane to have a seahorse?

But really more like two seahorses so my one seahorse doesn’t get lonely. Also some fish. Maybe a starfish. And coral.

I’ve always really loved them and I think they are just the cutest. I love fishies too. My 19th birthday is coming up and I’d like to just ask for a really huge tank and seahorses. I like having animals and plants to take care of and make frens with. As far as I’m concerned the only downside to having fish/seahorses is that they are forbidden from boops 🚫

I’ve seen a lot of different things online about how humane it is to keep a seahorse. So I’m just a bit unsure, and I would never want to keep an animal as a pet if it’s not humane. Please feel free to be blunt if it’s not!!

If having a seahorse as a pet is not inhumane, what should I do to endure it has the very best quality of life possible?

I saw a minimum 30 gallons for tank size, so I’d probably be aiming for 50 gallons. I also have a cat, so that’s a thing.

Also, about what cost would I be looking at when all said and done?

Thanks in advance for helping me in my seahorse mission ❤️
