So my grandaprents' live in a small rural farm and they always had a bunch of animals like dogs and cats (6-8), but last month they were down to just 1 cat.
So my parents and I decided to give them a small female rescued kitty (2 months old) to keep them company, which was working out fairly well, until the older one that was already there (another female cat, that is about 6-8 years old) decided to try and kill the kitty today.
This is a worst case scenario, because my grandparents are absolutely LOVING the kitty, but they also dont want to get rid of the older cat, because even though she has always been a distant cat, she has been living there for 6 years.
What should my grandparents do to stop this? They live in a farm, so there is plenty of space for both, but the older one seems (I think) to be really jealous of the "competition", so is there anything they can do?
