I dropped my dog off at the vet on Saturday for a comprehensive exam and shots. They usually keep her for a few hours because she once had a bad vaccine reaction so she typically spends about 3-4 hours there for observation. This time, they called me about an hour later and said they found a flea and some flea dirt. I’ve been checking her ever since and don’t see anything. I checked throughout my house and don’t see any signs of fleas either. I’m still washing everything and vacuuming as a precaution, but I’ve asked a few friends and they said they were able to visibly see the fleas when their pets had them. Has anyone ever had this happen? I’m almost wondering if a flea jumped on her while at the vet since they keep her in a crate for observation there.
