Heya.
Title says most of it. He’s got clean litter, a clean tray, away from his food. He’s not been declawed and he only pees on the bed. No other pets and nothing has changed about his bathroom arrangements.
He isn’t really meant to go upstairs... because he does this. But he did it early on and despite trying our best to wean him into the upstairs, he keeps peeing on the duvet, on the bed. It’s getting expensive.
I’ve had cats for over 10 years - I’ve never had such a challenging pee problem. I really want him to be able to be upstairs and enjoy our space as his, but he gets far too overexcited (because he knows he’s not meant to be up there) and will pee - if we’re in the room or not.
Any advice? I don’t think it’s a UTI as he simply will not go anywhere but his tray (which he happily uses) or our bed. He’s not been neutered yet. We had our sheets professionally dry cleaned.
