MIL let’s cat and dog sit in own pee/poop/sick sometimes days before cleaning up. Major flea infestation ongoing for two years. Always shouting at and degrading them. No care for their health. Told so many times that they’re in pain and need help but she doesn’t care.
Finally convinced her to take them to vets but she’s more concerned about the money she’s spending on them than getting them better. Should I phone ahead and anonymously warn them of the abuse in the hopes that they’ll rehome the pets? Don’t want to piss off her or my partner by overstepping but these animals need help and I wanna do the right thing. realistically I know what’s right, think I just need some encouragement because I’m scared I’ll get an earful about how it would be my fault that they were taken away
