Cat won't stop peeing and pooping all over the house since baby was born.

Cats owner passed away and she was passed on to us from a friend.

First 4 years it's been perfect. She is an amazing chill cat. Follows us in every room, comes when called, doesn't jump on any furniture. She is declawed and an indoor cat.

We have been doing construction in our house even from before she moved in so it's always been busy in here.

8 months ago our son was born.

I no longer let her sleep in our room at night, I was scared she would jump into the crib and sit on the baby for warmth (I've heard stories). I try to play with her as much as I can and scratches and brush her. Obviously she's not number 1 anymore but I'm trying.

In the last few months she's been peeing and shitting all over our basement. Then it started going up our carpeted basement stairs. A few weeks ago she looked directly into my eyes and pissed on the floor.

Yesterday my husband and I were sitting at the kitchen table and she peed on a rolled up carpet under the table.

Right before bed j was in my den on the top floor and she peed on the top landing.

We woke up to more shit on the basement stairs.

(The cat has 3 litter boxes, which we clean out 2 or 3 times a day)

We have taken her to the vet and she did have a UTI which has been dealt with.

We are lost at this point and no longer know what to do. We can't live in a house with piss and shit everywhere.

My husband would rehome her in a second. I feel so bad for her and don't know if she's doing it on purpose or not. I also just can't give her away I don't feel it's right.

Do you have any advice on how to get a cat to stop doing this?

What's your thoughts on CBD oil?
