3yo cattle dog that I've had for 1.5 years and the last month she's had bad smells from her butt. Nothing I can hear like a fart, but its unusual and I wanna solve it...
One night 3 weeks ago, it REEKED. It wouldn't go away until the morning. Since then, she's had what I call "gas" because when I'm WFH, I'll smell it every now and then. 1-2 times a day, maybe not at all the next day.
Her diet has been the same for 8 months now, and her poop is solid with no issues.
I took her to the groomer to get them expressed but they couldn't. I was confused as to why but it was basically a combination of the following:
Couldn't get them expressed. Its hard because she doesn't have a tail so I couldn't do it. If you really want them done i'd go to a vet.
any ideas? is this actually anal glands needing expressed?
