This morning around 3am my boyfriend woke me up because my dog went potty in the house and she NEVER does that. He also took her outside after that and she was so lethargic she didn’t even want to walk back upstairs, he had to carry her up. I was so worried I couldn’t go back to sleep so we sat up with her and started a movie. Then she threw up. It was brown like her food so I thought she just had an upset tummy. I cleaned it up and she then threw up another 4-5 times and by the last 2 times it was dark red..straight blood. I panicked and called the 24/hr vet clinic. Took her in and after an exam and many many questions we decided to just treat the symptoms and hydrate her intravenously. Now 6 hours and $400 later she has eaten had plenty of water taken her meds kept it all down and now she and my boyfriend are napping. I’m just staring at her thanking God that she’s okay and praying she never goes through that again. We believe it must be a reaction to the chemicals being used to pressure wash our building so we’re going to walk her super far away for the foreseeable future.
