During covid I moved in with my parents and finally my mom decided to offer me a dog for companionship since our dog died and they want me to stay. I said yes of course and offered to take full responsibility for the dog since our last dog was mainly my dad taking care of him. My mom never played or fed our dog before and probably won't for this one but she was the person most keen on not getting the dog. Since she said yes, I said I'll have her okay the dog since she's allowing me and it allergic to some. We agreed that I will take the dog with me when I leave and my parents have no preference.
However, she wants the dog to have very specific features e.g no certain colors, a certain size, certain age and a certain look and personality to match her even though she won't be getting the dog.
One of the dogs we both agreed but later she saw a photo and said she didn't like the eyes....
This is too much and I feel like we have different views on the dog. I think she is being too picky and feel like we won't get a dog I or she likes at this rate. She is very stubborn and is so petty
What could I do besides move out? I'm not sure when I will move since covid and I don't have a job yet as I'm still in school.
Please help, she's very stubborn on her 'type' and I'm very frustrated after looking so much. I do want to eventually get a dog
