Hi everyone! I just adopted my first cat. When I went to meet him at the foster home, he was so sweet and friendly, loved to purr and get pets. The transition to my home has been pretty rough. I expected it and I know it's about giving them space and time. It's been about a week and a half. He is coming closer, and sitting near me when I'm working. He came out of hiding and now roams around the apartment. These are all great signs! But he still hisses at me frequently, and wont let me touch him.
I am just wondering. How long did it take for them to settle in? How long until your cat was seeking out some affection with you? Any tips? Thanks so much!
