A bit of a backstory on my dog, he was a 7 year old Dog, he was the most loving, beautiful souled boy I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting he used to follow me all around the house I couldn’t even have a bath without him popping his head around the door he was from our first and only litter of 3 I got attached to the pups and we kept two, the other is still within close family too from the moment he was born it was an instant love.
On Saturday evening I left for work, my partner, kids and dogs were at home. My partner left around half an hour later and my dogs managed to escape sometime after that my beautiful baby boy ended up being hit by a car and died instantly. My partner believes somebody must of broke in as we have damage to our large cupboard door where the handle from our front door has hit, and to our wall where the handle from our middle door hit the police haven’t ruled it out but won’t do any investigating further as nothing was taken I’ve exhausted every option on this I’ve phoned private forensics to see if I can prove anything that way, also solicitors to see if I can bring something forward with that and nothing.
But this niggling feeling is saying my partner left the door unlocked everybody keeps saying it would of been an accident (I’m also sure he wouldn’t of meant to do it) but to me if this was a child, and not a dog negligence would at least be investigated, a break in would be investigated but it’s not because to the world he was just a dog a piece of property.
This is breaking me more each, my chest physically hurts. His brother my other dog is suffering immensely, he barely eats, drinks or goes outside.
