not sure how many people will see this, but here it goes: i’ve had my cat, finn, since he was six weeks old. my mom & i took him in shortly after my sister died. he’s around 9 months old now & i’m very attached to him considering the circumstances (quarantine & grief). a few days ago my mom & i came across a very tiny kitten, less than 12 ounces. of course, we took her home as she had no mother we could find. finn has just been taking it so hard. he hisses at her, i know it’s normal with newly introduced kittens but he also seems like he is avoiding me. i don’t know if it could be that he smells her on my things or that he is just generally upset that we brought home a new kitten. maybe it’s dramatic, but he’s my baby & i cried because he didn’t want to lay down with me. i know he needs time, but what can i do to get them more comfortable together? he doesn’t even want to eat his good wet food next to her.
