Persistent Deciduous Tooth in 5m old kitten

Hi guys,

Wanted to see if anyone has experience in this area. I noticed my kitten was super low energy and not eating as much a few days ago and took him to the vet. My vet told me this was due to a canine baby tooth that has not yet fallen out, even though the adult tooth has come in. She also said it still has time to fall out naturally and that I should wait a few weeks to see. But he's in pain, not eating very much and sleeping all day and I'm not sure I can wait a few weeks. Seeing him like this is breaking my heart. Do you think I should insist on the vet taking it out or wait it out? Just want to take the best course of action for my kitten.
