I just adopted a new kitten, and she is a bundle of energy. I NEVER yell directly at her. The most I’ll say is “noooo” in a firm voice, or “down” when she gets up on the table, then I give her a treat and pet her when she gets down on her own. That said, she pounces on my head by surprise when I am lying down anywhere, and she has caught me on the eye with her claw twice. Both time I got really startled and yelled “OUCH!” really loudly (not on purpose), which scared her and she ran away from me.I feel really guilty because she is brand new here and I want her to feel loved. I don’t want to scare her. That said, it scared the crap out of me when she pounces on my face out of nowhere. Idk what to do.
