We have a six year old boy and a five year old girl. I wish they were further apart in age but we wouldn’t ever wish to replace them. As they continue to grow older I’ve had anxiety about them both “going” at about the same time. Of course I hope we’re far from this.
Financially we can add another, by having another one or the other will never be alone when that time comes, and I have all of the love there is to give as I don’t want children.
I have a very close bond with our girl, my S/O is close with our boy and I can’t help but feel guilty for wanting another. It all makes sense and adds up but I just have to know if they’d feel replaced or betrayed. They both love dogs and I do think they’d play and enjoy it.
Could I hear any negatives or positives of doing this, maybe a few success stories?
