Hi! I live in an apartment complex with a big closed off inner garden. There’s 4 or 5 cats that are allowed out - one of them being mine*. They do fight on a regular bases but it’s nothing overly serious, just a territorial thing I guess. I even got a cat door for my cat so she gets to come home and eat or rest anytime she wants which has been working out so far. However, this weekend she rushed in and another cat ran into the apartment right after her. The other cat saw me and ran right back outside.. but what if I hadn’t been around? I worry for my cat’s safety when I’m not home now - I want her to be safe. What should I do?
*please don’t start telling me how she should be an indoor cat and then this wouldn’t be an issue.. as much as I want to protect her, she hates being inside all the time. It’s just her personality.
