I’m looking for some advice here on options about what to do with a cat that I own. A little backstory: my ex wife and I got a cat four years ago. The cat turned out to be somewhat of a headcase. I.e. constantly knocks shit over/ breaks stuff, periodically attacked my ex wife with very rough play. Can’t be around other animals, and has to be sedated in order to even go to the vet for a check up. Fast forward to today: my wife and I split and since the cat never really warmed to her in any way, I had to keep her. The problem is now I can’t afford a 1BR apt, but I don’t think I can take this cat with me and force other people to live with this animal that will break their stuff and possibly attack them. Surrendering this animal is out of the question because I think it will most likely go completely insane in a shelter and be totally unadoptable. So what other options are out there for me?
