so I have a 1 year old schnauzer called Loki who normally loves me but as soon as my partner takes the car out Loki will sit at the top of the stairs (where he has a view of the door or by the door and no matter how many treats I bribe him with he will stay there. BUT as soon as my partner comes home he's back on my lap and cuddling me. He also is more jumpy when it's just us at home, will bark at door and growl etc, he normally extremely quiet...Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something that can be trained out of him? Could it be that he has some sort of anxiety when its just us or is he just protecting me in his own doggy way?
