Help! Puppy Panic!

I’ve dreamed of having a dog since I was 10. Now, 10 years later, my dream is about to come true. I got incredibly lucky to get my hands on a 3 mo Pomeranian girl from a good breeder, which was a bit out of the blue, and, a-hem, maybe impulsive, but I figured since I wanted a dog so much for so long and I have been actively researching info on Poms specifically, I should do it. Well my girl is gonna be there in a day and as time draws near I read more and more, begin to delve deeper and deeper into Pomeranian care manuals and the worst anxiety of my life sets in. I love dogs, I’m sure I’m gonna love my little girl, I’m dedicated and I want to care for her, but the more I read the more it seems like I’m actually getting a HUMAN CHILD and not an animal companion. So many requirements, restrictions, details etc. make it seem that these little guys are the most high-maintenance dogs in the world. I’m terrified, I’m afraid that I’m gonna do everything wrong and not give the puppy proper care. People who have experience with Poms, can you reassure me that these beautiful creatures are indeed dogs, smart and loyal companions and not some ephemeral angelic creatures who needs paw wax, 30 $ conditioner and pedicures every week?
