Unfortunately my living situation has forced me to find someone to temporarily foster my cat for 5 months this year. A trusted friend has agreed to do it but I am unsure how to compensate them.
I will, of course, cover food, litter, supplies and any pet fees at their apartment but I feel like I should also pay them for their time and labor -- perhaps on a monthly basis.
Has anyone done this before? Thoughts on how much?
