I'm currently in college, but I've always wanted to have pet birds. Unfortunately, I have no experience with them- my family always had large dogs which weren't trained well enough to safely be around them. Because of that, I want to be absolutely sure that I know what I'm doing before I take on the responsibility of caring for the birds. I've heard that cockatiels are good starting birds, so I would like to start with those, and then potentially parrots after a few years if I feel comfortable doing so. Where can I start learning what I need to know? Does anyone have any advice or resources they can share? Thanks!
