When I adopted pous she was 19 pounds and couldn’t clean her backside, so she’d ‘scoot’ on the carpet to wipe. I’ve dieted her for the past year and she’s able to reach her bum now (still a bit of a stretch, I’m still getting off the last pound or so)..... but she’s still scooting !!! Ive looked up common reasons for scooting which include worms and impacted anal glands and I don’t believe she has either. I will take her to the vet soon regardless. Anyone have experience breaking this weirdo habit in your cat / dog ??? it’s grossing me out lol and sometimes she hurts her bum scooting ;(
