My husband and I welcomed an almost 2 year old male rescue cat into our home about 2 months ago. We already had an almost 2 year old female cat at home. They seemed to be adjusting well to each other after the first week. We brought the new cat to the vet 2 weeks ago, and since then he has started digging in my bed around 4 am every night. The digging action isn’t like he’s kneading the bed, more like he’s trying to dig a hole to China! It wakes my husband and I up. He will sleep on our bed on and off before this happens.. We have tried moving him to the floor or cat tree, petting him ( which works temporarily), feeding him later at night, feeding him more, tiring him out before bed, calming spray, changing our comforter, putting a blanket on the bed, nothing has helped. It doesn’t happen all night, just for 20-45 minutes. Any ideas as to why he could be doing this? We did get the feliway diffuser and only started it yesterday so I don’t know if that could help.
