Owner leaving 1 y/o kitten in my care, one question

Hey all!

This isn't a technical question, more of a 'what do cats prefer?' kind of thing

Is it better to just swing by and "keep the cat alive" Or should I adopt her in my home for the week?

This cat is a fresh addition to the owner's apartment. Barely two months. They'll be out of town for a week and want me to take care of her.

Long story short, this cat and I are just as close as she is with anyone, and I'm afraid of estranging this 1yr old kitten by only seeing it before and after my full time job for an hour or so

The cat is super friendly and follows us everywhere. She sleeps next to her owner during naps/at night and she'll also wait meowing at the door when she hears us pull into the driveway

I don't want to traumatize her by introducing her to a new environment suddenly, but I also don't want to strand her when she soaks up all the attention she can get before/after work

Thoughts? Thanks for reading!
