Like in the title I have 2 cats who are very over weight. My male cat (TJ) is 19 lbs and my female cat (Maisy) is around 14 lbs. For about 3 months now I have been feeding them Hills Science Diet Light for Adult Cats. It seems like it has made no changes and I've been following the feeding guidelines on the bag and everything. To aim for a 12 lb cat I should be feeding them 2/3 a cup a day, which I did. but my other problem is that my male cat (Tj) throws up after almost every meal and he has done this with other foods. I have even divided his meal times to 4 times a day, just splitting that 2/3 cups into 4 separate meals and without fail he will throw up. I recently took him to the vet to make sure everything was ok and she said he's fine just greedy. She strongly suggests that I put him and the other cat on a strict wet cat food diet. My concern is I did go on a spree about a year ago and only fed my cats high quality wet food for about 3 weeks and both of my cats developed very mild cat acne on there chins. I stopped the wet cat food and it went away. So does anyone have any suggestions as to what brand of food I can buy that is good enough quality for a healthy cat but also price friendly. I am open to all diet suggestions as well. I feel like I am trying my hardest and nothing is coming of it and it is so tiring. I love my babies and it breaks my heart that I can't seem to find a solution for all of the problems I'm encountering with them.
tl; dr : I really need suggestions for cheap wet cat food that's good quality
Edit: also about a month ago I switch from 2/3 a cup to 1/2 a cup per day. Which doesnt seem to help either.
