As the title suggests, my mother is thinking about giving our dog away to a family that can give him more attention and such. For more context, I'm currently away at college, and my sister is about to do the same next year, leaving my mom alone in a house with a dog and a cat. Whenever I come home, my dog is happy to see me, but I feel bad because I don't play with him as much as he'd like. She's thinking about doing so because he's in his crate all day when she's at work, and when she gets home she doesn't have the time to give him attention and play with him. Sometimes I think he's unhappy where he is, and I want what's best for my doggo even though I'd be kinda sad if we gave him away.
