Hello all,
This past weekend, my husband and I adopted a new dog from a local shelter. We had only one other dog before, and the loss of her just about killed me.
I was processing the loss fine, but then I started to miss feeling needed and wanted someone new around. So we started looking and found our new little guy.
With our other dog, I was so in love right away. I had known her for a little while before, understood her temperament and quirks.
This new little guy though...I just don’t feel bonded to him in the way that I expected. So I guess I’m just wondering if any of you experienced something similar and if so, how long did it take you to bond? Did there come a time when they felt like they belonged? What was your adjustment period like?
