Recently my dog has started excessively licking himself and I took him to the vet. They told us it was just allergies, gave him a shot, and sent us away. But... he still licks himself repeatedly.
It’s getting so bad that I had to put a cone on him so he won’t make his skin get any worse (he was close to making himself bleed). I don’t know what to do anymore. I want him to feel better and thought maybe putting the cone on him would help but all it made him do was lick his mouth excessively.
